Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. He blends soul gospel jazz with R&B to create a unique blend. Avery Sunshine has appeared on Broadway as well as at various festivals across Europe, as well as performing at Democratic National Convention. Her real name is Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta however, she comes from Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing and playing piano in the church. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical education began in the Atlanta's R&B Scene. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her singing she asked Sunshine to be part of the Dreamgirls production at the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained attention during the four daily performances of The 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine went on to sing during the 2009 Obama Inauguration.
